That means that you are able to recognize you need more help. I have gained a great deal of experience helping others  face and overcome their issues. I have gained this experience working in a wide variety of settings including private practice, out patient therapist, hospital setting and hospice. Working in these areas has provided me with the tools to effectively service you. 


Anxiety affects 2.4 millionAmerican daily. Anxiety is a natural response to intense, persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Anxiety occurs due to pressure at home, work, school or relationships. Even though anxiety is normal there are times when it is excessive such as when it starts to interrupt your daily life and personal life. Anxiety may even manifest into physical symptoms such as heart palpitations, or chest pains, fatigue, nausea, shortness of breath, stomach or headaches, and poor sleep. Emotional symptoms may include: feelings of worry or dread, difficulty concentrating, feelings of irritability, restlessness, and constantly watching for signs of danger.

Serenity Counseling & Solutions can assist you in recognizing your triggers, help decrease or eliminate symptoms of anxiety, and help you develop techniques to reduce future anxiety and stress.

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Depression affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. When left untreated, depression can interfere with your daily living. Some symptoms may include: feelings of worthless, hopeless, helpless, unintentional weight changes, changes in your sleep patterns, fatigue, low energy, overwhelming grief or sadness, avoidance, feeling like you're drowning or choking. 

Therapy and treatment can alleviate symptoms of depression. Serenity Counseling & Solutions provides a safe place to talk, explore and understand contributing factors to depression and assist in developing coping strategies.

Loss and Grief

When someone suffers a loss, the feeling can be overwhelming. Grief is a difficult and complicated emotional response to loss. Feelings of loss and grief can be experienced after we lose someone or something we care about. Such as the death of a loved one, loss of a relationship or loss of something else of importance to us. The grief you experience in these instances, it is a normal response to a life event that everyone must face at some point. When we've lost someone or something, it can take time to adjust. Adjust, to a new life without that someone or something. We want you to know there is no right or wrong way to grieve and there is no time frame on grieving. It can take a lot of time and emotional support to heal. 

Emotional symptoms may include but not limited to: anger, shame, guilt, resentment, denial and emptiness

I provide confidential counseling services families, couples and individuals seeking support in navigating life’s problems.

I am passionate about assisting clients in their overall goal of better functioning. I pride myself in building rapport with my clients. I am committed to providing you with professional and ethical care during our time together. The outcome and effectiveness relies on forming a collaborative effort, trusting relationship with your therapist, it is important to find someone who you can identify with and relate to. My approach is met you where you are in journey, I start where the client is. I use a strength a based approach with encouragement and support. However, I will challenge you, in hopes of making you look at things with a through a different lens.
